As for the preparation, we have created an event on the main Facebook page, Raising Awareness: Law of Succession and Probate. Our Facebook live session will be held on 23 of November 2020 from 8pm until 9pm.
Dr Fauziah Binti Mohd Noor
Dr Fauziah Binti Mohd Noor was a Senior lecturer at School of Law, College of Law, Government and International Studies. She has recently transferred to Islamic Business School (IBS) College of Business, University Utara Malaysia. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia. Her areas of interest are Islamic Jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh), Islamic Banking, Islamic Family Law, and Islamic Land Law. She was a member of the Shariah Committee of Bank Simpanan Nasional.
Dr. Fauziah Binti Mohd Noor also has been actively participating as a speaker in numerous of talks that cover wide range of topics. Apart from that, Dr. Fauziah also has written various of legal articles. Hence, we firmly believe that we made the best decision by choosing her as the speaker for our Facebook Live Session as we know that her experiences and vast knowledge will help us in educating as well as raising awareness among the public regarding Hibah 'Umra.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Shariah from the Faculty of Shariah, Islamic Academy, University of Malaya; Master's Degree in Law (LLM) from School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London; and PhD from University of Birmingham (Agricultural Law, A Comparative Studies between Islamic Agricultural Law and the Malaysian Law).
